I grew up in Florida and Grand Cayman, and I have been performing since the age of three: singing, dancing, and riding horses.  After receiving my first horse at the age of 12, I began showing American Saddlebreds in State and Regional Competition, achieving 5th in the state of Florida for high point competition at the age of 14.  At 16 I auditioned and was accepted into the Blake Leopold School of Voice.  After graduating with honors I majored in communication disorders and American Sign Language at the University of South Florida for 2 years.  I continue to sing and play flute when the opportunity arises.

In 2003 I joined the original cast of Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede in Orlando, Florida.  I was a trick rider and performer there for four years, and am still featured on a billboard riding an ostrich (yes, riding an ostrich).  In 2005 I became a founding member of Cavallo Equestrian Arts, a touring acrobatic horse theater, owned by Olissio Zoppe.  Arabian Nights contracted me for the Black Stallion literacy project, where we brought Walter Farley's black stallion to life in front of thousands of children.

I met my husband Jason at the Dixie Stampede in Florida. In 2008 we decided to move back home to Mobile, Alabama. That was when we found out we were going to be raising a little Dixie Chick of our own.

I combine my experiences in the performing arts and horsemanship to teach my students more than just riding.  Its about the overall impression you create with elegant lines and subtle communication between horse and rider. My objective is to teach students horsemanship, with the goal of creating proficient riders that can pursue any discipline in the world at a professional level.

Krystin completed her Therapeutic riding instructor certification october 2010!!!  We are currently running therapeutic programs and looking forward to many more in the future.

Krystin Celisse is the director of the riding program for Camp Smile, a camp for special needs.  The camp serves campers with Down Syndrome, Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Mental Retardation, and the Visually and Hearing Impaired.  Throughout the year Krystin continues to see some of the campers so they can continue their riding lessons.

If you know a potential rider with special needs we work hard to accommodate everyone.  Our horses are used to wheelchairs, walkers, and other adaptive equipment, and we have a special wheelchair ramp.
